I love my markets as you know and I just discovered a new one! Yipeee.
Dog friendly, plenty of parking, arts and crafts and enough food and drink variety to make it difficult to make up your mind what you actually want to eat!
There is loads of parking, we paid R10 to park on the field and those monies go towards keeping the park in tip top condition. Market is free entrance and is wheel chair friendly.
The vibe was really great, lots of people from young to old, with beautiful live music. There is lots of seating, with many market goers bringing blankets and pillows and camping chairs and setting themselves up nicely to spend the day at the market. There is a whole playground for the kids with jungle gyms etc so a total win for the family.
You will not go hungry – there really was so much choice from healthy to not so healthy (my weakness!), as well as Vegan and veggie options – something for everyone. Coffees, fruit juices, cordials, cocktails, beers – you will not got thirsty I promise!
Stalls selling clothing, jewellery, toys, arts and crafts, eats to take home, art etc. Lovely selection of goods for you to browse and buy.
We sat under the trees. listening to the river run past us and felt like we were a million miles away from Sandton… instead of in it.
The market occurs every second Saturday of the month. They are open from 10am till 3.
#supportlocal by attending this awesome market!
