So as you all know I love to support local and started a #girlboss segment where we could share, learn and inspire!
During lock down, we are going to do a whole lot of these to highlight these businesses – many of which are taking HUGE strain during this time – and shed some awareness and love to all!

So I reached out to Terri to tell us a little bit about herself and her business, and this is what she had to say!
You started your own business – How does it feel to be a successful #girlboss that inspires others and loves what she does?
I have never though of myself a someone who inspires others haha. Since starting my business in August 2019, I’ve hardly had time to think! It’s great to do something that you are passionate about, because when times get tough, it’s what motivates you through those times.
What are the top 3 learnings you have had to find out the hard way since starting your own business?
Having your own business is really not for the faint hearted. There are fantastic days and then there are seriously bad days. It’s very important to surround yourself with people who will support and motivate you (and feed you when you have had a bad month of sales.)
Where do you see your business in 5 years? Once we have gotten over the effects of the lock down.
My main aim for the next 5 years is expansion.
I would like to become a well known and trusted brand, and maybe open up a small store (instead of the shared space that I am currently working in) who knows!
What is your advice to women out there wanting to start their own businesses but are too scared?
You should be scared to start your own business! I would say, before you do anything, make sure your product, or idea will work. Really do your homework.
If that’s looking good, and you have your savings, and your support group, then you are just one decision away from changing your whole life.
Tell us 2 things that are the BEST part about owning your own business and make it all worth while?
Freedom of time is huge for me. Knowing that my schedule is flexible, or that I can take a weekend off for my best friends wedding, relaxes me.
Also I get to approve everything, designs, costs, the look and feel of my brand. And then I get to look at this thing that I created, that people love and connect with. It is really quite something.
