So I was home in Cape Town recently and decided to give the Oranjezicht City Farm Market a try. It definitely lived up to all the hype! Such a great way to spend a morning with family and friends. And entrance is FREE.
Looking for fresh produce? Look no further than this beautiful market. The colours, the freshness, all organic – could you ask for anything better? Fresh meat, breads, olives, pickles, pestos, baked goodies, honey, muesli etc – all divine looking.
So there were so many food options, I could have stayed there and eaten all day. In all their organic goodness, you will have so much choice, you will battle to make a choice!
I am a HUGE portruguese Pastéis de Nata fan. And these, from the Hoghouse are so flipping awesome, I cant even begin to describe the custard flavours. YUM YUM. Totally worth the R25 price tag. They also have a flavour of the month Pastéis de Nata available to, at R30.
There are lovely housewares, clothing etc to buy too!
And look at these gorgeous fresh flowers!
Sit outside, look at the sea and enjoy your brekkie or lunch or coffee and a pastry – you decide.
