So as you all know I love to support local and started a segment where we could share, learn and inspire! It is so important to support local and share your findings with others.

During lock down, we are going to do a whole lot of these to highlight these businesses – many of which are taking HUGE strain during this time – and shed some awareness and love to all.

I have another divine local find to share with you. This eco-friendly, sustainable and vegan brand creates 100% natural hand, body & baby wash Their products are made purely from plants. They are  biodegradable, sustainable, grey water safe, and most importantly are not tested on animals. Say hello to Saponera!

Please check out their website to shop online! And please follow them on Instagram and Facebook, they would appreciate the love.

Please see answers below from Saponera, on questions around their business!

How does it feel to be a business owner that loves what they do?

Its amazing! After so many years working for someone else its so great to do something that we are passionate about and which we can fit into our lives by making better use of our time on all fronts.

What are the top 3 learnings you have had to find out the hard way since starting your own business?

Its slower than you think 😊 It takes time to get started and takes time to build a brand. (I don’t really have 3)

Where do you see your business in 5 years?

As the no.1 brand that comes to mind for natural hand and body wash for consumers and accommodation venues. (that might be a tad optimistic 😊)

What is your advice to individuals out there wanting to start their own businesses but are too scared?

I know they are all say it but just start! It doesn’t have to be perfect right away. Start working on and selling your idea. And its totally possible to start it on the side.

Tell us 2 things that are the BEST part about owning your own business and make it all worthwhile?

Its yours so every sale makes you feel proud. That you can work when you need to work and be present with family when you need to be (and not stuck in an office counting down the hours till 5pm)

How has lock down affected you and your team?

We are lucky in that more people are washing their hands and sanitizing in lock down so we were an essential service and it helped to get our products and brand more known.
