So as you all know I love to support local and started a segment where we could share, learn and inspire! It is so important to support local and share your findings with others.

During lock down, we are going to do a whole lot of these to highlight these businesses – many of which are taking HUGE strain during this time – and shed some awareness and love to all.

Today we get to feature Wild Willow Toys! These Montessori inspired wooden toys are so beautifully made, your little ones will love them. I just love the magnetic fishing rod with fish, just so cute! These toys are functional too as they stimulate learning so they are very important for your kiddies too. Please follow them on Instagram and share the love. They would appreciate the support!

We chatted to the lovely founder of the business, Simeen Whisgary who had this to say!

Tell us a little bit about your business.

I’m a first time mum and was going on a journey to find educational, but fun open ended
toys for my baby. My focus was to have Montessori inspired toys. A Montessori toy is
one that stimulates learning by encouraging kids to experiment and explore the world
around them. Not simply being a passive spectator to a performative toy. The best toys for our little ones’ development allow them to explore and involve their own will, decisions, and ideas.

Take note of your inner voice, watch how you speak to yourself, trust yourself and just
do it.

Tell us 2 things that are the BEST part about owning your own business and make it all worthwhile?
